Smash Dance
is having tryouts for the SMASH KOSMIC Kpop Performance Team !
Not just typical a dance team. Be a part of this amazing performance group and perform all over San Antonio 4-6x/yr! We also are a big on helping our community through our outreach "Dance to Heal" program: Project SMASH.
Tryouts are Friday, January 27th, 2023
Ages: 13-18

Please come dressed ready to dance: in comfortable dance clothing such as joggers or leggings, sneakers, and a tshirt. During the audition, you will learn a small choreography combination with the other auditionees as a group. Please also come prepared with 20-30 second solo of your own choreo/freestyle to a song of your choice - whatever style you are most confident in!
The judges (your potential future instructors) will be looking at a few key elements during your solo audition including your TIMING, FACIAL EXPRESSIONS, KNOWLEDGE of CHOREO, and ENERGY.
If you are called back with an invitation to join the team, please note that this is a full 12-month commitment for 2023. Class is every Saturday 11:45am-1:45pm, tuition is $84/mo autopay, plus a one-time class uniform fee of $50 (1 black Kosmic shirt, & 1 white Kosmic shirt). Occassionally we may have additional practices to prepare for performances & workshops at no extra cost to team members! Performances the team participates in throughout the year may require costumes (we try to keep these as affordable as possible!).
If you do not make the team, we have other classes at SMASH you can register for that will hep you improve your technique so you can audition again in the summer of 2023! Tuesdays Kpop Techniques 7:05pm & Saturdays at 1:15pm.
